Surnommées « petits gris » ou « couscoussières », ces rames, à la carrosserie argentée et aux banquettes orange, ont sillonné la banlieue parisienne à partir des années 1960.
Afin d’offrir une seconde vie à certains éléments des Petits Gris, la SNCF a laissé carte blanche à cinq studios de design talentueux.
